Draft — pending legal review. This is a working draft for our beta. It describes how Making Paper actually works today, but it isn’t a substitute for professional legal advice.

These terms are an agreement between you and Making Paper. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. You’re responsible for the children you add and for how they use the app under your supervision.
Making Paper turns real-world chores into virtual rewards and a dress-up avatar. The app is offered during an early “beta” period on an “as-is” basis; features may change, and things may occasionally break.
Gear, loot boxes, streaks, and other in-app items are virtual, have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money, and may change or be removed. There are no purchases in the app today; if we add paid features later, we’ll provide separate terms for them.
Please don’t misuse the service — including attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, access other families’ data, or use it unlawfully.
The app, its artwork, and its designs belong to Making Paper. Information you enter stays yours; you give us permission to use it only to run the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Making Paper isn’t liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. (This section will be finalized with legal counsel.)
You can stop using Making Paper and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access that violates these terms or puts other families at risk.
We may update these terms and will revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
